Last week, the House passed the “Preventing Executive Overreach on Immigration Act” (H.R. 5759), which was a blatant dog and pony show that fails to address the President’s lawless amnesty actions. That House Bill was a sham, a “show vote” to fool us into thinking that they are doing what they can. So far, they are not.
Regarding the Omnibus Bill, Speaker Boehner, once again, has proven himself to be a big government, big business ally when he aligned with President Obama to get this bill passed through the House late last night. Click Here to Read More. It will now take a separate law to stop this amnesty train.
The Omnibus bill will fund most of the government through September 2015, meaning the GOP, with control of both houses, will not have the leverage of the “power of the purse” to stop Obama’s other illegal actions (including Obamacare) for 9 months!
Further, Obama now has more than two and a half months to move forward with his unilateral amnesty of illegal aliens, during which time 5 million illegals will be given visas, social security numbers, drivers licenses, etc., with no way to stop them.
Some of the worst that is in the bill found here .
“Once again, Speaker Boehner and the House GOP leadership have found a way to needlessly squander political capital, after being handed a historic majority,” said Jenny Beth Martin, Co-Founder of Tea Part Patriots. “Rather than negotiate and govern from a position of strength – and defend the Constitution against a lawless autocrat – the Speaker has punted on first down. It’s shameful, it’s senseless, and it will be remembered.”
Following is a list of Ohio Reps. who voted yes for this destruction. Disappointing, to say the least:
Republicans – Wenstrup, Turner, Tiberi, Stivers, Renacci, Latta, Joyce, Johnson, Gibbs, Chabot, Boehner

Can you imagine a Republican Member of Congress who voted for a standalone bill that gave visas, social security numbers, driver licenses to illegal immigrants surviving the next Republican primary? Neither can we.
